A personalised early intervention and prevention service for families with children aged 0-18 years.
From toddler tantrums to difficult teens, parents learn to navigate challenges while growing and maintaining loving connections with their children. The Family Unit focuses on supporting families to build strong, connected relationships through education on:
- Parenting skills
- Healthy relationships
- Self-control
- Behaviour management strategies
- Empowerment
This family support service provides families with confidential support and skills to enhance their parenting abilities and family capabilities in a safe, non-judgemental environment.
Programs we offer
The Family Unit run a range of programs for parents throughout the year including:
- Circle of security
- Bringing up great kids
- Tuning in to kids
- Tuning in to teens
- Shark Cage
- Psycho-education sessions
The Family Unit also runs group programs for children and young people including:
- Rock and water
- Girls groups
- Boys groups
- Teen talking groups
Is the Family Unit right for you?
Your family is eligible for support if:
- There are children aged 0-18 residing in your home;
- There are challenges that your family is currently experiencing and you are looking for support;
- No child is subject to statutory child protection intervention; and
- You live or attend school within the catchment of Logan West, which includes Browns Plains, Greenbank, Jimboomba, Yarrabilba, Marsden, and all suburbs in between.
