Our Domestic Violence Systems Coordination (DVSC) program spearheads an integrated and coordinated response to Domestic Family Violence (DFV) in Moreton Bay.
The DVSC leads sector integration to facilitate a contemporary and adaptive service system that responds effectively to risk and enhances community safety.
DVSC coordination activities are guided by the following principles and objectives:
- Enhancing the safety and wellbeing of women and children who experience domestic and family violence.
- Holding perpetrators accountable for their choice to use violence by identifying opportunities for sector agencies to collaborate and intervene with the perpetrator.
- Recognise and respond to victim/ survivors of domestic and family violence from vulnerable population groups.
- Support service-system capability to be culturally-informed, trauma-informed and responsive to identified place-based DFV trends and issues.
- Genuine collaboration, engagement and communication to improve outcomes in implementing and maintaining a contemporary and response service system model.
