Transitioning from living at home to residential aged care is a major life-changing event and can be an incredibly challenging time for the older person experiencing the change, as well as their family. This period is often accompanied by feelings of extreme anxiety, grief and loneliness, along with a very real fear that boredom will take over.

120 aged care jobs in Rocky to boost local employment  

Around 70 aged care jobs are available right now across Mercy Community sites in Rockhampton.

A further 50 job opportunities are on the way as Mercy Community grows its workforce in the lead-up to opening the region’s newest residential aged care facility, Mercy Haven, in 2025.
