A message from David Jukes, General Manager of Disability Supports
Not everyone likes change – but ultimately we need to recognise that it is essential for progress.
And when it comes to the government’s landmark review into Australia’s National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), it’s important to realise that transformation was needed to maintain pride and trust in the system.
Amid the changes, we would like to assure our clients that our Support Coordination and Individualised Supports services will continue to operate as separate and independent entities.
This intentional separation allows us to maintain the integrity of each service while drawing upon the strengths and insights of both.
We would also like to emphasise our commitment to continually reviewing and integrating feedback into our practices.
The establishment of our People’s Voice Committee three years ago is a testament to our dedication to inclusivity and ensuring that the voices of those we serve play a central role in shaping our services.
Their contributions have been instrumental in shaping and designing our services, policies, and practices, and we are thrilled to celebrate the expansion of this committee – further enriching our understanding of the diverse needs and preferences of the individuals we support.
As we look ahead to a new year, our commitment to deepening our understanding of our clients’ wants and needs remains unwavering.
The NDIS review provided a valuable opportunity to reaffirm our dedication to continuous improvement, transparency, and client-centred practices.
We appreciate the trust placed in us by the community we serve and are committed to evolving our services in response to the ever-changing landscape of disability support.
