This month, Mercy Community was honoured with a National Disability Services (NDS) Membership Recognition Award to acknowledge 40 years of continuous membership with NDS.
If you’re not familiar with NDS, it is Australia’s peak body for non-government disability service organisations. NDS represents over 1200 non-government service providers, including Mercy Community. As part of this network, we are helping to contribute to the growing strength and influence of the disability sector. Our NDS membership has real meaning, reflecting our joint commitment to providing quality services and life opportunities for people with disability.
“A lot has changed a lot over the past 40 years in the way people with disability are recognised and supported. Mercy Community is proud to have walked this journey with the people we support and is committed to continually adapting to meet the choices and life expectations of people with disability. The contribution of all members of the Mercy Community team is a valued part of how we achieve this,” said Anne Skordis, General Manager, Disability Supports.
To commemorate this important milestone, Mercy Community has been presented with a Membership Recognition plaque by the NDS.
Congratulations to the Disability Supports team for the ongoing commitment to people with disability.
