Our Domestic Violence Systems Coordination (DVSC) program spearheads an integrated and coordinated response to Domestic Family Violence (DFV) in Moreton Bay.
The DVSC leads sector integration to facilitate a contemporary and adaptive service system that responds effectively to risk and enhances community safety.
DVSC coordination activities are guided by the following principles and objectives:
Enhancing the safety and wellbeing of women and children who experience domestic and family violence.
Holding perpetrators accountable for their choice to use violence by identifying opportunities for sector agencies to collaborate and intervene with the perpetrator.
Recognise and respond to victim/ survivors of domestic and family violence from vulnerable population groups.
Support service-system capability to be culturally-informed, trauma-informed and responsive to identified place-based DFV trends and issues.
Genuine collaboration, engagement and communication to improve outcomes in implementing and maintaining a contemporary and response service system model.
