General Counselling Program
Individualised, one-on-one support for children and young people in need.
Our Toowoomba based program offers counselling and intervention services to children and young individuals under 18 years who:
- are subject to statutory intervention; and
- require support as a therapeutic response arising from personal experiences of physical, emotional, or sexual abuse/harm and neglect.
What We Offer
Our Counselling Program delivers personalised assessment, counselling, and support tailored to address the unique therapeutic needs of children and young people. We engage with each child or young person over 26 sessions. Should it be deemed necessary and in the best interests of the child/young person, another referral may be considered by the counsellor, child/young person, and their care team.
Support for Carers and Parents:
We also provide support around the child or young person’s behaviour to carers and parents, helping them meet the child or young person’s needs effectively.
Referrals are exclusively received from the Department of Child Safety Toowoomba North and Toowoomba South Service Centres. If you’re considering self-referral to a counselling service, please explore our other counselling services.
