Our Services
Domestic Support
Daily tasks, big or small, don’t need to be a barrier to maintaining your independence. Mercy Community is here to support you with your domestic tasks, enabling you to continue the activities you like whilst we assist with the ones you might not. We support you to maintain your home, your way.
No matter what is on your to do list, our friendly team is committed to providing the domestic support you need to retain your independence, safety and comfort in your home.
Health & Wellness
Our dedicated health and wellness specialists can support you with the right nutrition and physical activity advice. We can organise nutritional advice and help you get to regular exercise classes and outdoor activities.
We’ll also coordinate our allied health therapy and appointments with specialists, like physiotherapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, dentists, optometrists, audiologists and podiatrists. With daily support to take medication or travel to appointments – it’s all part of a tailored plan for better health.
Personal Assistance
There are times when we all need a little extra help. Getting the assistance you need for showering, dressing, toileting or grooming can mean that you’re able to stay independent in so many other ways.
We can coordinate everyday support from professional staff, who make your dignity and comfort their priority. There’s also help available if you need support at other times during the day.
Social & Transport
Our care packages do more than provide support in the home. It helps you live an active and social life, getting out to see friends and do the things you love most. Enjoy shows, sports and shopping, or visit natural attractions for fresh air and outdoor hobbies.
Of course, we can also help you with routine commitments, such as appointments and errands. It’s all about helping you do what’s most important to you.
Nursing & Clinical Care
If you need more specialised medical support, it’s possible to get help in the comfort of your own home. We’ll make sure you receive expert care in your home and help you attend specialist appointments when needed.
General nursing care, as well as more complex care for dementia, palliation, diabetes and wounds can all be coordinated in the familiar surrounds of home.
Veterans' Health Care
This program aims to provide home care services to eligible veterans and their families, ensuring their health, wellbeing, and independence.
The VHC service encompasses a range of essential support, including domestic help, personal care, respite care and safety-related home maintenance. Our dedicated team of professionals is committed to delivering high-quality care tailored to the unique needs of each veteran.
To be eligible for the VHC service, you need to have a Veteran Gold Card or a Veteran White Card with an accepted service-related condition. You should be living at home and require low levels of care.
Please discuss contributions with your referral agency.
Equipment Aids & Home Modifications
There’s a range of home modifications and devices that offer simple and accessible solutions to daily problems and inconveniences. The Mercy Community dedicated equipment team can explain the options available to help with mobility, communication, continence and more.
Simple home changes and new technology can make it easy to stay safe and healthy at home. We can explain your options and suggest solutions that will make a real difference.
Queensland Community Support Scheme (QCSS)
The Queensland Community Support Scheme (QCSS) is designed to provide low intensity supports to individuals like you, who may face circumstances impacting your ability to live independently and participate fully in the community.
Whether it’s support with managing your daily tasks, enhancing your self-sufficiency at home, or reducing social isolation by connecting with others, QCSS is here for you. We aim to link you with formal and informal supports and services in your community to best address your unique needs.
Eligibility for QCSS is based on a few criteria. You may be eligible if you are:
- Under 65 years old (or under 50 years old for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people)
- Not eligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Get in touch
Phone 1300 927 062 to speak to our Customer Experience Centre or submit an enquiry below.
You can tell us a bit about your situation and we’ll explain the Home Care process.

Check your government eligibility (we can help even if you aren’t eligible).
Visit the My Aged Care website or talk to our Customer Experience Centre to learn about your support entitlements. We can assist with your My Aged Care journey and send a referral on your behalf.
If you aren’t eligible, we can provide the support you need at a nominal fee for service.

Talk about a service plan
We will visit you to talk about your needs and start building a plan that’s right for you.

Finalise your plan and funding
We will work with you to finalise your plan and, if you’re eligible, make sure the right steps are taken for funding. If you are placed on a waitlist for your funding, we can commence your care plan in the meantime at a nominal fee for service. This means you can receive premium home care services from the moment you engage us.

Start getting help at home
Once everything is finalised, your Home Care services can start that very same week.
