Launch of our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

Today we are incredibly proud to launch our first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)—our Innovate RAP.

At Mercy Community, our vision for Reconciliation is for a world that embraces the diversity of Australia and has a deep respect for Traditional Custodians, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.  

As a nation we need to work together to close the gap in life expectancy between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the rest of the population by improving cultural, spiritual, physical and emotional wellbeing.

We’ve chosen to launch our Innovate RAP on National Close the Gap Day to show our support for First Nations peoples and their struggle for equality—in health and so much more.

Throughout Mercy Community, we provide a number of services which support young people, individuals, families and communities in Queensland. Through these services we work with many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, in a variety of ways.
