David Jukes
General Manager, Disability Supports
David Jukes champions innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence.
Commencing his professional career in Information Technology, David left the IT world behind in 2014 to work in the community services and aged care sector. Since then, he has shaped a highly successful career which more closely aligns with his personal goal to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable people who need support.
David was promoted to the position of General Manager in July 2023, after initially being employed as Mercy Community’s Director of Individualised Supports.
Since 2020, David has worked exclusively in the disability supports sector, a community which he admires for its remarkably resilient people who have faced great adversity and triumphed with humility and perseverance.
He finds working in the disabilities sector deeply satisfying with personal and professional fulfilment attainable through making a positive difference in the lives of others.
David is proud of the unique and empowering services Mercy Community offers, and he is committed to keeping our mission and values at the heart of everything Disability Supports does.
He is strongly focused on finding ways to better understand how the Disability Supports team can contribute to individual goals and collecting evidence of the value of Mercy Community’s contribution to continually improve service delivery and outcomes.
