Residential Aged Care
Maximise your world. Enhance your life.
Here at Mercy Community Residential Aged Care, we believe a big part of our job is helping you to flourish. Our dedicated team takes the time to get to know you – what’s important to you, what you love doing, what you like to eat and what your individual needs are – so that we can tailor your care plan to perfectly suit you.
Our residential services include specialised dementia support, palliative care, ageing disability support, pastoral care and complex clinical care.

Experience life with Mercy Community
Our aged care residence at Nudgee features four individual aged care communities, located on several hectares of beautifully-landscaped gardens on one single level. Residents and loved ones can unwind in the natural bushland setting and enjoy walks along the elevated pathways across the campus.
Light filled communal areas bring people together during the day, for meals and social activities. Plentiful shared spaces indoors and in the gardens, allow for smaller gatherings or just a place to relax in peace.
Our facilities include a range of onsite services including salons, cafés, chapels, a cinema, barbeque areas and regular activities and outings.
Each room is a private retreat that can be personalised with homely touches throughout. The furniture, fittings and connections can all be adapted to suit individual preferences.
Each room includes:
- air conditioning (heating and cooling)
- a private ensuite
- full length windows with aspects to the landscaped courtyards and gardens
- service connections including: direct-dial telephone, television, 24/7 nurse call and electrical outlets. Multiple connections provide maximum flexibility and choice in room set up.
- full furnishings including:
- wardrobes
- tallboy
- bedside locker
- lounge chair
- curtains (sheer and block-out) and bed linen.
While the tranquil bushland setting provides privacy and peace, it is conveniently close to local shops, transport, the Brisbane Airport, the Gateway Motorway and major highways.
The Banyo shopping precinct is just three minutes down St Vincent's Road, where you will find a number of cafes and eateries, a newsagent, the Banyo Library, parks, and medical facilities including doctors, pathology clinic, a pharmacy and more.
Together with you, your family and extended care network, we’ll create a tailored care plan that meets your needs, enhances your life and enables you to flourish.
From the meals we customise to cater for your preferences, through to the daily activities and outings we plan to suit your desired lifestyle, our focus is you, every step of the way.
We understand that life changes day by day and week by week, so we’ll regularly assess your care plan and adapt your care as your needs change.
We are here to assist you or your loved one with a smooth transition to a new home with full time care. Everything we do centres around one overarching goal: to enhance your life and support you to flourish.

Pastoral care
Care for the whole person.
Here at Mercy Community we believe pastoral care plays an integral role in providing quality residential care to people as they age.
Pastoral care is holistic concern for the whole person including their physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing.
While pastoral care is an inherent part of all positions at Mercy Community, we also employ a dedicated pastoral care team, who works closely with our clinical team to provide holistic care to residents, carers, and their families.
The team offers emotional and spiritual support to all residents of all faiths, and to those who don't identify with any particular faith.
This care is offered with sensitivity to the unique needs, feelings and wishes of each person, with confidentiality at all times.
Residents can be assured they will have the space and support to reflect on their lives and relationships, their legacy, and the myriad of other things that occupy people's thoughts as they get older.

Fee structure
The Australian Government subsidises a range of aged care services for older people. Subsidies based on your pre-assessed care needs are paid directly to your residential aged care provider.
Mercy Community offers a variety of accommodation options and prices.
We strongly encourage you and your family or representative to seek independent financial advice prior to entering into a resident agreement.
The published accommodation payment prices are the maximum rates and apply to those with sufficient assets and financial means. You may choose to pay for your accommodation by a Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) paid as a lump sum, a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP), or a combination of both.
Should you have limited assets and financial means you may be treated as ‘supported’ by the Department of Social Services which means you will not be required to pay the published Accommodation Payment, or it will be a lower price.
