Here at Mercy Community, we are privileged to collaborate with several organisations who share an interest in the work that we do.
One such organisation is Deloitte Australia. Thanks to an existing connection with the global giant in management consulting, we arranged to be part of their Impact Day.
This is a special event in the calendar of Deloitte Australia every November. It’s when thousands of Deloitte people around the country spend time volunteering with local charities, to make an impact that matters.
Such was the dedication to the cause for Deloitte, Julian Dolby—National Lead Partner, Transformation and Operations Consulting and Ray Bradley—National Lead Partner, Technology Strategy and Innovation, we were able to conduct four intensive half-day workshops.
“Deloitte came in to assist us in facilitating workshops with our executives and some of our service streams, to help us refine the metrics associated with our strategic plan, and advance the strategic planning process,” said Richard Langford, Mercy’s Head of Fundraising.
Workshops were conducted for the executive team, the Families and Young People service stream; Aged Care and NDIS; and our IT function.
Deloitte was able to bring its expertise in strategy and consulting to the strategic plans we have for Mercy Community, and provide insight into how we can measure our goals and objectives.
The workshops were incredibly beneficial, and we particularly appreciate the volunteered time provided by the whole Deloitte team.
After the first workshop, the team from Deloitte were fully engaged in our vision and mission and we are hoping to build on other ways that Deloitte may support Mercy Community.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Deloitte, and building a mutually rewarding relationship which ultimately benefits the people we support.
