Mercy Community Lowood is dedicated to strengthening families by providing them with access to a wide range of local community resources in the Somerset Region.
Lowood Early Years Service
At the heart of Mercy Community Lowood is the Integrated Early Years Service catering to children aged 0 to 8. This one-stop shop offers families a variety of services and referrals to specialist resources in the region.
The Early Years Service focuses on:
- Enhancing child learning and development
- Supporting child and family wellbeing
- Building parenting capacity
Families can benefit from free supported early years playgroups, family support services, parenting programs, and programs that promote children’s development.
Services Australia Agent
Mercy Community Lowood also houses a Services Australia Agent.
This face-to-face access point allows community members to receive support in accessing Centrelink and other online government services. From using internet-enabled computers and printers to accessing free Wi-Fi, community members can conveniently manage their MyGov accounts, scan and upload documents, and access information about payments and services.
Our dedicated team members are also available to assist with setting up and accessing digital services, finding online information, and providing referrals to other services.
The Lowood Community Pantry
Our pantry, fuelled by local generosity, provides essential items to children, families, and community members in need. Supported by regular donations, our team ensures a helping hand reaches those in the Somerset Region, making a tangible impact on lives.
