Brisbane catering, delicious food, but so much more

The Cookery Nook team is passionate about food, and dedicated to serving up fresh, tasty, wholesome bites to eat.

But we’re more than that. As part of a not-for-profit organisation, we are dedicated to creating opportunities for people with disability, their families, and carers.

We started this social enterprise knowing it will change lives. For many in our team, the new skills, experience, and confidence they gain with us will be a valuable stepping-stone to other work in the hospitality industry and beyond.

When you choose us to cater your next event, you’re not only choosing quality food and service – you’re also choosing to make a difference!

All profits from the Cookery Nook’s catering service go directly to Mercy Community’s Disability Services.

The Cookery Nook: our story

Mercy Community provides meaningful employment for people with intellectual disabilities who may not have access to mainstream job opportunities.

We do this through the Cookery Nook, an Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE) that provides a quality catering service to metropolitan Brisbane and its surrounds.

Not only does the team create delicious food from fresh, local produce and deliver it to your door, they demonstrate a workplace culture where everyone feels welcome, supported and empowered. This can have significant positive effects on self-esteem, confidence and sense of purpose.

Our team in action!
