Our Intensive Intervention Placement Service is part of Mercy Community’s continuum of care for children and young people. The service provides time-limited intensive intervention for foster and kinship families who are caring for children and young people who:

We tailor the intervention to meet the individual needs of the child or young person by working with the carer family on strategies to meet those needs.

We aim to maintain the stability of the placement through education, information and support in areas relating to the needs of the child or young person, such as attachment or the effects of trauma on a child or young person’s brain.
